I'm excited to share with you my latest project, which I've been working on over the past few weeks. The main goal was to explore stylization. I’ve wanted to create a scene with a painting effect for a while, and also wanted to work on post-process.
To create this scene, I used several techniques. To get the 'brushstroke' effect, the trees, clouds, and bushes are particles generated by Niagara Systems, using a brushstroke alpha texture. They are randomly generated, making each instance unique, and fully customizable to achieve maximum precision.
The post-process includes two distinct post-process materials: one adjusts the colors to enhance this almost cartoon-like painting effect, while the other subtly distorts the scene to give the impression that it’s made of brushstrokes.
